Your brain is arguably the most important muscle in your body, so you need to take good care of it. Here is how FitLit can help:
Eat Brain Food: We will teach you how to feed your brain so it can be as effective as possible. Some foods that are good for your brain include high protein foods (meat, eggs, beans), omega-3 fatty acids (fish, nuts), antioxidants (berries, broccoli, spinach, whole grains), vitamin B (clams, lamb, beef), and low trans fats--so, avoid fried foods and fatty sweets as much as possible!
Socialize: Connecting with others, learning with and from others, as well as helping others are all activities that keep your brain engaged. We will not only teach you how to be a better version of yourself, but we will also teach you how to help others.
Exercise: Exercising increases your heart rate so that your heart can pump more oxygen in your brain to keep it healthy and help it grow. A healthy and growing brain will make a happier YOU--Your brain will thank you after each of our exercise sessions.
Protect Your Brain: After realizing just how important your brain is, you will make sure to protect it as much as you can to avoid concussions or brain injury. Make sure to wear a seatbelt whenever you ride a car, and always wear a helmet when you ride a bicycle, a skateboard, a hoverboard, etc.
